My actor pal Jessica Honsinger just finished working on an HBO show called Quarry that will air next year, and she came into town to get a new headshot. My favorite show she was on is The Astronaut Wive’s Club because of the costumes. She works a lot, and the opportunities she has keep getting better and better.
I am glad that she came in because the last guy she used for headshots didn’t know what he was doing. That she has been so successful with such an average headshot is a testament to her strength as an actor. She is adorable, but her previous headshot doesn’t have the spark that I like to see. The color isn’t as good as mine. I don’t like the vertical crop. It just isn’t the type of headshot that she deserves, and I am very thankful that I got an opportunity recently to up her game.
I hate to call out the previous photographer, but I think it is only fair. Who was it? Follow me…
INT. WOOD PANELED TWO STORY LIBRARY WITH FIREPLACE
CLOSE ON the back of an Eames lounge chair, which slowly rotates to reveal Chris Gillett. We see he is wearing a smoking jacket and is holding a pipe with no tobacco in it.
CHRIS
Oh, I didn’t see you there. Welcome to my summer home.
YOU
Thank you. And thank you for seeing me on such short notice. Hey, have you been working out?
CHRIS
Actually I have. Thank you for noticing. I suppose you are here for me to dime out the photographer who made that average headshot of Jessica Honsinger.
YOU
You know me too well. I feel bad for asking, but I am very curious about it. Was it someone local?
CHRIS
Yes, he is based in Houston. I like to think that I have gotten to know him pretty well. Sometimes I hate him though.
YOU
Really? Please name the villain!
CHRIS
Very well.
